Welcome to the
Kohan Foundation Counseling Center
You have taken the first courageous step in seeking help and make changes towards bettering your life. We understand how difficult making a choice like this is, and will support you throughout the process.
We all experience struggle in our life, and sometimes we have friends or relatives who offer sympathy, hearing us out when we seek guidance. But there are times when they can’t seem to understand our struggle, when the issues lay far deeper within us, out of reach of friends and family. We know they mean well, but we ask our self if our friends or relatives are capable of handling such sensitive issues—that may even involve them. And we have also seen how good intentions from friends and family can end up being destructive instead of helpful.
Life is a challenge, but a challenge which can be joyous once we find the right person to get help from; one who can help us develop the tools for a better life.
When we are in the midst of emotional pain and uncertainty, trying to find an experienced therapist we feel comfortable with can be overwhelming. In such pain, seemingly easy choices can be difficult. In order for therapy to be helpful, finding the right therapist, the one we are most comfortable with is crucial. The most vital ingredient for success is a good, constructive relationship between the client and therapist.
Therapists at the Kohan Foundation Counseling Center will take the steps together with you towards a path of emotional healing. Our relationship will be therapeutic, built on trust, empathy, skill and knowledge.
The Kohan Foundation’s biggest priority is to provide a supportive, safe and an honest connection, one that is vital to improving our relationships and choices in life, one that brings out our strengths and resolve difficult issues we may find overwhelming.
As experienced psychotherapists, we are available to you, to hear you out and help you achieve your goals.
